I love the Fall

One Sunday afternoon we went up to my parents cabin to enjoy the leaves

Green River

We went to Green River for a softball Tournament. Jer's team took 2nd place. Jer had a couple of hours in between games and I really wanted to go and see the geyser. I came here a couple of times when I was young and I wanted to show Jer and the girls. The geyser use to go off every hour years ago but there was a guy that put dynamite down it so now it goes off about twice a day and I talked to the locals and they said that it usually goes off at 10:00 so we headed off at 10:00 and we got to see the geyser shoot up about 10-15 feet in the air but it usually goes up about 60 feet but that was good enough for the girls. They loved playing in the water.

Update

I went to my doctors appt. on Monday and I have schduled my heart surgery for August 28th. My doctor wanted to do it Friday but that was way to soon for me. He could tell that I am very nervous about this so he gave me plenty of reading material to prepare myself. So Friday the 28th is the day unless at the last minute I decide to change the date. (I don't think the doctor would be very happy about that, hahaha)

Austin Jett Adams

Austin was born on June 9th weighing in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. 20 inches long

One for the book...

Life has been a little crazy lately and I just wanted to tell everyone thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers as I try to get through this craziness.

Here is a recap for anyone that has not heard.

On Wednesday afternoon my heart was racing so fast so I finished up a work and rushed to labor and delivery. I told the nurse that my heart was racing and she started to put the monitors around my stomach to monitor the baby and as she is doing this she told me that I was probably just starting to get high blood pressure but as soon as she put the stethoscope on my chest she sat there for a minute and then went to my wrist to try and get my pulse and then she tried again on my chest and then when she couldn't get a reading she told me very calmly "I will be right back" the next thing I know I have 3 more nurses in my room 2 are from the ICU and one is from the ER. (I told Jer that this was just going to be a sit and be monitored for an hour and I would be released so I told him not to even bother) Well, the nurses decided that I needed to have ice around my neck and face to see if my heart would stop racing but nothing was working by then the nurses had called in 2 doctors and they are going to do an EKG on me. They took my heart reading and by then they were freaking out because my heart rate was 230. So they got a bucket of ice water and told me I needed to dunk my head 3 times for 10 seconds each but still nothing was working. Then at this point I have 3 more doctors in my room and they are yelling at the labor and delivery nurse (who by the way is totally freaked out because this is out of her league) to get a IV asap (this is the part where I start to freak out because there are so many doctors in my room and they are yelling and running around) As soon as the IV is in the ER doctor is telling me what is going to happen while he is starting to put medicine into my IV. He said that my chest would hurt, I might pass out and I would taste metal in my mouth. I had no idea what this meant but while everything is being said I heard a couple of nurses out in the hall talking and asking what was going on and they said "They are going to restart her heart". Holy Crap, I sure wish Jer was here!! Everything happened that the doctor said and my heart slowed down to where it is suppose to be, 100-110 beats per minute not 230. After everyone stopped freaking out they came in and talked to me about what just happened and they told me that they had paged my doctor, called the heart doctor and was getting ready for emergency c-section. Jeremiah finally gets to the hospital and he walks down the hall where my room is and he sees all of the nurses around my room and they were just shocked at what had just happened. He said that he thought one of us had died by the look on the nurses faces. Then I was monitors for the next hour and everything was just fine so they sent me home. I felt fine but I was just exhausted.

On Monday I went to see the heart doctor and he told me they had figured out what was wrong with me. He told me this was not pregnancy related and I need to have heart surgery but that can't happen until after the baby comes. I have SVT which means I have an extra electric vent. I was born with this problem and the reason while it just happens while I am pregnant is because I have so many more hormones and stress on my body. So I will be having heart surgery in July. I just cross my fingers that this doesn't happen again but if it does I have a chart that the heart doctor gave me to give to the emergency room. He said this is my ticket to the front of the line.

OH MY HECK!!!!

Jeremiah finally got he Elk back from being mounted on Christmas Eve. This thing is HUGH!!! I told Jeremiah that his Elk was going out in the garage or downstairs in the basement but he had other plans. The Elk will only fit in our living room (how convienent) It measures 6 feet from top to bottom.

(I know Kyle, I thought it would never happen either)

Alexis is such a character

Alexis loves to dress up but it can't be in anything girly. She put Jer's hunting boots on and snow hat and went hunting.

Christmas Day

Alexis LOVES this guitar. She has a mic that she can scream or sing in to. She plays while Paige dances.

Paige loves the Wizard of Oz and everytime we go over to my Grandmas house which is 1 or 2 times a week she has to watch it. Well, I thought it would be a good idea if I got it so she could watch it at home and give my grandma's VHS tape a break. This movie is very hard to find but Paige loves it and Jer and I have this movie memorized.

Alexis and Paige had a lot of fun and received a ton of gifts. Alexis is such a tom boy that she wanted Spiderman. Paige is such a little princess that she loves to dress up.

On Christmas my dad always had to give us a game or a toy so this year his idea was a little different. First my dad gave all the in-laws a present and they couldn't open it and they had to decide if they were going to accept the give or give it to their spouses to open and play the game. Well, Jer decide that he would keep the give and play the game. It was a bow and arrow and he had to hit the target and if he did he would win money. Well, as most of you know Jer is an avid hunter so this was no problem for him. Next up was me and my 2 brothers and my brother in-law, we had to hula hoop. WOW!! This was very funny to watch and play. Needless to say I didn't win much money. I have never been good at hula hooping but to add on that I am pregnant just made it more fun. Next we had to decide who was going to do the last challenge and I decided that Jer would be the best bet. They had to make paper airplanes and fly them thru the hula hoop. If they did make it in we won money. Jer didn't do so good and neither did anybody else. My parents gave us our final gift and it was a getaway up to Daniels Summit with my whole family for the weekend in February.

Alexis's School Program

Alexis was very nervous for her big performance but she did great. She didn't dance much but she started to warm up by the end and had a great time.

Alexis saying her part as the "E" in Merry Christmas. Her saying was "E is for eggnog that tastes so sweet homemade by grandma for a christmas treat." I was so stinkin' proud of her and how clear she said it. A lot of the kids you could not understand but they did dance good.

Muzzleloader Hunt

The last day of the muzzleloader hunt Jeremiah asked if he should go shoot a deer so we could have some jerky for our food storage. I thought it was a great idea. Here is what he came back with.

So the next day Alexis and Paige thought it was so cool that their dad shot a deer so they got their guns and were walking around the yard looking for deer to shoot. It was so hilarious we even got it on video.

This picture was taken up at my dad's lot. We went up there on a Sunday and packed a lunch and enjoyed relaxing in the trailer house.

Fun Filled Night

We had an exciting night over at Grandma and Grandpa Hall's house. They had haunted houses to decorate and pumpkins to carve. Jeremiah and I took over decorating the house because it is a little to hard to let a 2 and 3 year old try and build a house.

We went and watched the pig races and thoses pigs are so fast running around the pen. Well, the host of the pig show needed a volunteer so Steve volunteered me and not knowing what I was volunteered for I got up and the assistant brought over a cute little black pig for me to kiss. Wow, was I surprised but I went ahead and kissed the pig (now I can mark that off my to do list). Both Alexis and Paige got picked to stand up and cheer on their pig and they each won a pig nose.

What can I say.....

Alexis loves her cowboy boots and she also loves Michael Phelps and she has to wear her goggles where ever we go. I just have to try and remember to hide the goggles from her before school so she doesn't wear them there.

Our Weekend...

On Sunday we went up to Cascade Springs with Steve, Jeannette, Dale, April, Mckell and Tyler. Steve and Jeannette brought a lunch and then we walked around the springs.

Saturday

On Saturday we went up to my parents cabin. We decided it would be fun to go on a four wheeler ride up the mountain and pack a lunch. We had alot of fun and Mike and Becky Faris came with us.

First Day of Preschool

Alexis was so excited to go to school today. She packed her backpack last night and made sure that she had everything she needed. She work up this morning and said "I have already slept" and then she jumped out of bed to get dressed. I never thought that letting your kids go to school for the first time was so hard. I was so excited for her and I couldn't stop looking at her as we drove to school and just thought about how time flies so fast and how big she has gotten.

LAKE POWELL

My family has been going to Lake Powell for over 20 years and we always went with the Thornes. Well, with everyone getting married and having babies we haven't been back to Lake Powell with the Thornes in a very long time. This was the first time that we had everyone back together. Our group was a lot bigger because we had all of the in-laws and the little kids but it was a lot of fun. This was the first time in 4 years that Jeremiah and I have been back to Lake Powell. What a great trip!!!

FUN FILLED 24TH OF JULY

This year we went up to my parents cabin in Fairview and hung out for the weekend. We went up on Wednesday night. On Thursday we were waiting for everybody to come up because we were going to the demolition derby. I have never been to a derby before so I was in for a treat. It was so much fun!! At first I thought the cars were going to blow up but Jeremiah reassured me that they would not.

On Thursday we were waiting for the Thornes to come up and my dad and Matt were up getting water when the Thornes called them and told them that there NEW truck that they had just bought on Wednesday was on fire and they needed help. They got down to the truck and it was burned to the ground. How it started was a small little propane tank. CRAZY!!
On Friday we went swimming with everyone. The swimming pool has 2 pools and one of them has a tube that goes into it. Well, it is Fairview and they could less who goes down the tube so we took both of our girls down the tube and they had so much fun.
On Saturday we went to the horse parade, which Alexis and Paige LOVED and then it was off to the rodeo for some more horses and bull riding. I have never seen Alexis sit more still in my life. We were going to stay until Sunday but Jeremiah got really sick on Saturday morning and he finally couldn't take it anymore so we came home after the rodeo.

Happy 4th of July

We had a fun 4th. We woke up early in the morning to go waterskiing and then off to a BBQ at my Grandma Williams's and then off to another BBQ with the Jensen's (my dad's side of the family). We had alot of fun but we were extremely tired.

Dinosaur Museum

Last weekend we went to the museum at Thanksgiving point. The girls loved this little cave that they could run in and out of.

Fun in the Sun

The first weekend in May we went down to St. George for work/fun.

OH MY HECK!

The other night Jeremiah and I were cooking dinner and all of the sudden the lights flicker and there was no Lexi around so I go into the living room and Alexis's hands are all black and two sets of keys were in the light socket. The first thing I did was put Alexis's hands under cold water just incase she got burned it washed most of the black off except her thumb. She was a little shook up, as you can imagine.

Girls Night Out

Alexis, Me, Chrissy, Sarah, Hope, my grandma and my mom went to the BYU ballroom dance concert. I told Alexis that we were going to watch Dancing with the stars so she know what I was talking about. She absolutely loved it. I bought her popcorn and a drink and I don't think she even touch them because she was so enthrawled with everything around her. The last dance before the finale ended and Alexis turns to me and says "Mommy, I can't stay awake anymore". The next morning she came up to me and said "Mom, thanks for taking me to Dancing with the stars".

Alexis turns 3 years old

I can't believe that Alexis is already 3 years old!! She loves horses and loves baseball. As you can see in the first two pictures she is very aggressive about getting the candy out of the horse.

We love St. George

Jeremiah was in St. George all last week and it was a very busy end of the month for me at work so I was ready for a little vacation so at the last minute I decided to drive down and be with Jeremiah because the weather up here didn't sound promising for the weekend. It was 75 deg. and we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Adam's splash park. The girls had so much fun. Paige was a little nervous at first.

This slide was so fast. The first couple of times Jeremiah went down with the girls but Alexis "dare devil" wanted to be a big girl and go down by her self. Jeremiah thought if Alexis can go by herself so can Paige. The first time Paige went down there was terror in her eyes but once she looked at me and I was laughing so hard at her facial expressions she too thought it was fun. I think Kyle and Jeremiah had more fun then the girls. They would go down the slide so fast that they would slam into the blow up barrier at the end of the slide.


This was a ship that Paige loved to go down because she could climb up the stairs by herself.

Happy Easter

This is the 3rd time we have gone to the annual easter egg hunt. It is at the scera park and it is put on by Rocky Mountain Mortgage. They have different age groups and both Alexis and Paige got 6 or 7 eggs and a stuffed bunny.

I thought it would be fun to have an egg hunt with some of the girls cousins. Brayden and Mckinley came over and they got to hunt and pick up eggs. I went a little over board with the eggs and got 250.

Sand Dunes

For Jeremiah and I's anniversary we went to the sand dunes with my family. There is nothing else we would rather do then be with our girls. We had so much fun especially Alexis all she could do when she got on the fourwheelers was laugh and she told Jeremiah to go up the big hills...She is a dare devil. - I love to shop especially for my girls (Jeremiah thinks this is a bad habit but I love it)

- I swear at work (most of the time) My job is very stressful and it brings out a lot of bad words

Alexis absolutely loves horses!!! (that might be an understatement). She has to watch Man from Snowy River at least once a day and she always wants to fall asleep watching it. We bought her Hidalgo and Black Stallion so she might have a variety but she always wants to watch "Jim and Jessica"(Man from Snowy River). She always talks about Buckwheat (Tim's horse) and how her horse, Buckwheat, had a new baby. She carries the pictures that Grandpa Adams sent her of Starbucks in her pocket. Jeremiah said that we just might need to get a really horse to make Alexis happy. (I think it is his way of getting what he wants).

Brittany, our babysitter, loves to dress the girls up especially doing their hair. I don't know how she got Paige to pose for this pictures but when I saw it it looked just like a glamour shot.

New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve we went up to my dad's cabin for sledding and to roast hot dogs over the fire. The girls had a lot of fun but it was sure cold!!!

Jeremiah decided to pull the girls behind the fourwheeler. Alexis had a hard time holding on because she was also trying to keep Paige on the slide so Jeremiah decided that he would get on the slide with the girls and I would pull them around the cul-de-sac. It was so much fun whipping them around and they were laughing so hard. The girls loved the snow!!

Alexis discovered that the toy box could fit on her head and Paige follows what ever Alexis does so now they do it all the time. They think it is fun to run around with little or no clothes on and wrestle with each other.

Our Summer in Review

I thought that I would post a couple of things that we did this summer. It was fun to go back and look at everything we did and how dang cute my girls are. I love my family and how much joy they bring into my life. Enjoy!!

St. George

This summer Jeremiah and I went to St. George so many times I can't count them on my hands. Whether is was going down for softball tournaments, work or just to hang out with out family and/or friends. We love going there and being with Grandma and Grandpa and Kyle and Catherine.

One Trip that was really fun was we went to Grandma and Grandpa's swimming pool and let the kids go. The pool starts at 6 inches deep and we to 5 feet. It is the perfect pool for kids.
